If you’re travelling to Paris by bus, the chances are you’re going to terminate your journey at Bercy Seine station. Both Flixbus and Ouibus operate services to and from the station as their Paris centre stop. And if you’re staying in Montmartre, there are a few ways to get there from Bercy Seine.
The first thing you will realise when you arrive at Bercy Seine, is that you’re in a park. The station is situated in the Parc de Bercy, between Bercy Village and Bercy Arena. The closest metro station Bercy is only a few hundred metres away, however. The Gare de Bercy, a mainland train station is also just outside the park, but you will need the metro to continue towards Montmartre.
The purple metro line 14 runs from Bercy and is one of Paris’ newest train lines. High speed and driverless it is also one of the two quickest lines in the city.
From Bercy, take the line 14 in the direction of Saint-Lazare. You will only need to stay on the line 14 for 4 stops, until Madeleine. From Bercy to Madeleine the journey is a mere 5 minutes.
When you arrive at Madeleine you will need to make a transfer to get to Montmartre. Change here for the green line 12, heading north, in the direction of Aubervilliers. The line 12 covers souther, central and northern Montmartre, at the stations Pigalle, Abbesses, Lamarck — Caulaincourt and Jules Joffrin. Abbesses is the centre of the area and leaves you a mere two minute walk away from the Sacré-Cœur basilica. Pigalle in the southern part of the district is a few minutes walk from the Moulin Rouge.
For our guests, alight the train at Abbesses. We are only one street and five minutes away from the station. And If you’re reading this and not booked with us, why not? Book now and you can discover Montmartre on your doorstep!
